[With the NBA season finally back in full effect, rapper Diego Cash speaks on being signed to New York Knicks' all-star Carmelo Anthony's Krossover Entertainment.]
I've known Carmelo Anthony for like seven or eight years. I've known him for a while and we've been trying to get the [Krossover Entertainment] label going on for about five years. That's my man, that's my homeboy.
Carmelo started the record label probably just to help push me because he saw what I was doing and got his own little impression because of the way I was moving on my own. So he was like, "Look, I want to see if we could do something together or join." So we started up Krossover and we've been moving.
It's taken time but it's a good process because when he first started this, he was new at the music business and I wasn't a new artist but I also wasn't seasoned [in the music industry]. Through the course of time, we're getting to the point where everything is where it needs to be. Musically, on the corporate side, everything is in place and we've got a pretty tight ship now.
Sports and hip-hop almost go hand-in-hand. Athletes come from the same neighborhoods and the same background, so they're almost unanimous.
Diego Ca$h a.k.a. Berg had arrived. Now teamed with NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony's Krossover Entertainment, Berg is about to hit the streets and leave an everlasting musical impact. Diego Ca$h's tentatively scheduled album 'Language Arts' will feature rap stars such as Rick Ross, Raheem Devaughn, Styles P, Jadakiss, Cassidy, Gorilla Zoe, Cool & Dre, and more.
