Maybach Music Group's Wale is ready to continue putting in work for the boss Rick Ross by revealing the start-up of his next solo project.
Despite his new sophomore album, Ambition, only having been on store shelves less than a month, Wale said he is hard at work on its follow-up.
"2 songs deep in my next album...#iLuvThis," Wale tweeted November 25th. (Wale's Twitter)
Rick Ross offered his take on Wale's Ambition debuting at number two behind Justin Bieber's Under the Mistletoe (210,400) earlier this month with 164,1000 copies.
"First of all, we have to give Wale credit for being an incredible emcee and grinding," Ross said in an interview. "When I sit back and reflect on his promo tour, his blogs, vlogs, and the way he interact with the streets and the fans, it can't do nothing but inspire an artist even at my level and make sure I touch the streets the same way. And I think that's what he really did, so we gotta give Wale his credit but most definitely, MMG, Warner Bros, we handling our business." (MTV)
Following his album's huge first-week, Wale admitted he was at a loss for words over Ambition's chart performance.
"163k! I love my fans .. I'm so grateful.. Thank you Thank you... I'm speechless hip hop for life #mmg #boa," Wale tweeted November 8th.
"We did it RT @WaleNation: We did it 163K!! Congrats @Wale!! #Ambition" (Wale's Twitter)
