Happy post-Thanksgiving. I hope your stomachs are full and your toilets are clogged. Pretty interesting week in music news, as Chicago MC Lupe Fiasco blesses the people with his latest mixtape, Friend Of The People

Is the hood checkin' for this? It's been a minute since Fiasco hit us with an official street album. FOTP has been a long time coming, as it was first slated to be released nearly two years ago.

If the title of this mixtape sounds familiar, it's because Lupe Fiasco originally intended to release Friend of the People circa Christmas 2009, but those plans got a bit derailed because of his extra curricula activities. To be fair, his mixtape Enemy of the State: A Love Story was released on Thanksgiving Day of that year and 24 months later the Chi-town rapper is carrying on the tradition with his overdue and anticipated project. A few keywords we can throw out after our first spin: politics, Justice and Ellie Goulding.(MTV)

What are your early thoughts on this? Granted, it just came out, but let us know if you're feeling this joint or not. This album is for the people, all of those fighting the good fight.

Speaking of good fight, I wouldn't mind seeing a wrestling match between Keri Hilson and a post-baby Beyonce. Keri was doing some red carpet interviews at the Soul Train Awards, and when she was asked to hold up a magazine, she seemed cool ... until she saw Hov and B were on the cover.

Not sure why she suddenly had a problem with it, but this isn't the first time Ms. Kery Baby has thrown a little shade on B. Wonder if she stole one of her songs .... who knows.
