Maybach Music Group's Rick Ross has given his reaction to Wale putting on for his label, as his new album Ambition shelled out over 160,000 copies its opening week.

Ricky Rozay credited the Washington, D.C.-bred emcee's constant grind for helping him sell units.

"First of all, we have to give Wale credit for being an incredible emcee and grinding," Ross said in an interview. "When I sit back and reflect on his promo tour, his blogs, vlogs, and the way he interact with the streets and the fans, it can't do nothing but inspire an artist even at my level and make sure I touch the streets the same way. And I think that's what he really did, so we gotta give Wale his credit but most definitely, MMG, Warner Bros, we handling our business." (MTV)

Last week, Wale admitted he was at a loss for words over Ambition debuting at No. 2 on the music releases chart.

"163k! I love my fans .. I'm so grateful.. Thank you Thank you... I'm speechless hip hop for life #mmg #boa," Wale tweeted November 8th.
"We did it RT @WaleNation: We did it 163K!! Congrats @Wale!! #Ambition" (Wale's Twitter)

In its opening week, Wale's sophomore LP debuted behind pop star Justin Bieber's Under the Mistletoe (210,400).
