Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne proved family comes before the music a few days ago by throwing a Cinderella-themed birthday bash for his daughter in Atlanta.
Invited guests included Weezy's Cash Money boss, Birdman, and rap star T.I.
Reginae Carter, daughter of Lil' Wayne and Toya Wright, brought in her 13th birthday like a princess. The Cinderella-themed soiree held at Atlanta's Callanwolde Mansion, featured a horse and carriage arrival as Lil' Wayne escorted his daugther wearing a tux and Phantom of the Opera-like mask. Some of the attendees included Birdman (Reginae's Godfather), and T.I. with wife Tiny. (Miss Info TV)
Earlier this year, Wayne's ex-wife Toya, spoke to SOHH about their daughter's talent.
"Yes, Reginae is very talented," Toya told SOHH. "She is very talented, smart and wise beyond her years. And I know Wayne feels the same way, that she's a star. [Her future?] It's really whatever she wants to do. She been doing music with her dad lately. As long as she's doing what she has to do in school and making good grades, I'll support anything else." In March, Reginae Tweeted photos of an outing she had with Wayne.
Say what you want about Lil Wayne, but don't question his love for his kids. The family guy enjoyed the weekend with his 12-year-old daughter Reginae and son Dwayne Carter III, hamming it up for the camera in a photo booth. "Like father, like son, like daughter! Meet the carters!" tweeted Reginae after spending the day with her father. (Rap-Up)
Late last year, Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant described Reginae as a multi-talented artist.
"Reginae is just a star," Cortez said in an interview. "She wants to be singer, an actress, she does it all. A great personality. She takes after him. He's going to nurture whatever she wants to do. He's supporting her in anything that she wants to do. So, if she says she wants to sing, I know that Wayne is going to do everything in his power and help her fulfill that dream, and I'm going to be right there to nurture it." (Celebrity Access)
