[With A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas still leaving fans laughing-out-loud from the weekend, actress Paula Garces recalls finding out gang banger-turned-actor Danny Trejos would play her father in the flick.]

When I read the script to A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, I read that I was going to have a very lovable father, very protective and he was going to be very sweet and loving and I'm not going to lie; Danny Trejos was not one of the names that was going through my head as an actor to play my dad.

So when I did hear the role was going to be played by Danny Trejos, again, I know he's an actor and that actors portray characters on TV but it just seemed to me that Danny Trejos was always playing either a criminal or somebody mean. So I was like, "How is this going to work?" And so he shut my mouth.

Danny literally made me realize I should never judge a book by its cover and I will try not to anymore because he really blew me away. Danny is very, very sweet and really funny in the movie as [you'll see.]

I think it's going to be a very happy surprise for everyone to see. But again, he's still down and he's going to give you the Danny Trejos signature look where he could kill you with one stare but you'll also see another side of him. He's very funny in the movie.

Paula Garces drew Hollywood's attention when she top lined Paramount's 2002 teen sci- fi adventure Clockstoppers starring opposite Jesse Bradford. In 2004 Ms. Garces was next seen opposite academy award winner Tommy Lee Jones in the Revolution Studios feature Man of the House and in New Line's hit comedy Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. In 2008 she reprised her role as "Maria" in the hit sequel Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. The third time is definitely a charm as Paula recently wrapped her infamous role as "Maria" in the third installment in 3D of the hit Harold and Kumar movie franchise.
