Bucktown To DuckDown: With rappers continuing to make their hustle on the indie level but mainstream exposure, this week SOHH is featuring entertainment personalities naming an underground emcee they feel is the most slept on. After comedian Nephew Tommy gave Ice Cube the title last week, Harlem's Smoke DZA crowns Bucktown's Sean Price SOHH Underrated.

Sean Price (SOHH Underrated)

For SOHH Underrated, I'm going to have to name Smoke DZA. I have to say Smoke DZA. But then after Smoke DZA, then maybe I'll have to go with someone else. It's kind of hard because there's not too many people you could give that title to.

I would say maybe Sean Price. You know what? I'm going to say it. Sean Price is the most underrated rapper. Sean Price aka Kimbo Slice is one of the best lyricists in the f*cking game. Period! To me personally? F*cking Sean Price, Kimbo Slice, he's going to tell you how it is.

I'm a big Sean Price fan. I feel like Sean's one of the elite emcees but for whatever reason that I don't know, [he isn't paid] that homage. But Smoke DZA is giving him that homage right now. I f*ck with that man Kimbo Slice. He's one of the dopest dudes in rap.

His flow, his delivery, his punchlines, [they're] just undeniable. That's what I came up on. So I have a great deal of respect for Sean Price. I think he's one of the most underrated.

Hip-hop is just a hobby for some but for Smoke DZA, it is a way of life. Born and raised in Harlem, NY, DZA was raised surrounded by music. DZA was introduced to and fell in love with hip hop at a young age and began a journey that would lead him from dropping out of high school to being one of the hottest, most sought after unsigned rappers in the game today. Though his musical journey is not far removed from his early days in Harlem, DZA has recorded with the likes of Asher Roth, Big K.R.I.T., Devin The Dude and Curren$y to name a few.
