[SOHH highlights a hot single each week and offers a unique look at the song. After Georgia artist Future explains how T.I. became part of his "Magic", new G-Unit signee Genasis breaks down his single "Jackie Chain" featuring Dorrough.]

It's kinda crazy because I ain't like the song until a few days after I heard it. Initially, I just liked the hook. I knew it was catchy, so I figured I might as well get it out.

I just had the track at my crib sittin' there, I knew I wanted it to be on some fly sh*t ... I wanted to come up with a new way of saying sh*t, as far as being fly, so I came up with the "Jackie Chain" line, real catchy. So now when everybody think about stuntin' they think about Jackie Chain and me, you know?

My connection to the beat was instant, when we were putting it together I asked the producer to put some more sounds in there ... I don't know if you remember J-Kwon's "Hood Hop" but I wanted some sounds that they kind of used with that record. I got Dorrough on the song too. Man that dude is cool as f*ck. We actually met up while I was doing some promotions, he heard the track and was like, "Man I wanna get on that motherf*cker."

From there, I sent him over the record and that was that.

The streets love it. Out here in California, it ain't really like the South. In the South, it's easier to get in touch with DJ's. Down South, you can catch DJ Holiday in the club, for example and pass him a record and see if they'll give it a listen. So I was giving "Jackie Chain" to the secondary DJ's out here and after a while it made its way to the club and then the radio station. Next thing you know, everybody was f*ckin' with it.
