News: Drake Names His All-Time Fave Lil Wayne Verse

Young Money star Drake recently talked about his boss, Lil Wayne, and which of the seemingly endless Weezy verses clearly stands out as his favorite.
Despite having collaborated with Wayne on dozens of records, Drake said his favorite verse is off R&B singer Mario's "Crying Out for Me" remix.
"I still don't understand how he pieced that together, how he came up with that. If I could take any verse from anyone, it would be that," said Drizzy, who then proceeded to recite the obscure lyrics. "It was just the most mind-blowing verse I've ever heard in my life." (VEVO)
Mario's "Crying Out for Me" single began circulating online in 2007.
Although Mario's Crying Out For Me leaked in late 2006, it wasn't until just recently that it was announced as the official second single. Now, almost a year later, fans get a pretty typical remix; Mario's original vocals and Polow da Don's beat with a guest verse by the "King of the Collabo," Lil' Wayne. Weezy does not disappoint though, listening to his woman's heartbeat because it "plays my favorite song." Although an admirer of Weezy, Drake announced plans to nix their much talked about collaborative album this week.
During an interview with XXL for the upcoming December issue, Drizzy explained that he and Lil Wayne have decided to put their proposed joint album on the back burner, maybe indefinitely, because he felt fans would compare the project to Watch The Throne rather than judge it on its own artistic merit. "Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album," Drake told XXL exclusively. "We just agreed that it would be looked upon as... It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, 'If we do it, we'll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.'" (XXL Mag)
This week, Watch the Throne contributing producer Ken Lewis talked to SOHH about Weezy and Drizzy's star power together.
"Certainly not taking anything away from Jay-Z and Kanye West, but Drake and Lil Wayne were almost on every song together for the longest. It's not like they did a dedicated Watch the Thronerecord but that seems to have been the growing trend for quite a while, just everybody getting on everybody else's records." (SOHH Guest Star)
