[With the release of her Chapter 5: Underrated album circulating online, R&B singer Syleena Johnson gives you her Top 5 reasons to cop the new LP.]

1. Do You Think About Me?

The first reason why you should buy the album is because I said so. It's my job. If you were selling a product, that's how you eat. Don't you want me to survive and eat? I was signed in 1998 but I didn't come out until 2001. My first single had help from R. Kelly and it's called "I'm Your Woman." A lot of people mistake me for R. Kelly's protege or a lot of people think I was signed to Kanye West's label because I sang "All Falls Down." I've worked with a lot of hip-hop artists like Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, Common, Jermaine Dupri, Hi-Tek, Cam'ron, Cuban Link, DMX and so a lot of the hip-hop world probably know me from doing all of these collaborations.

2. What The Game's Been Missing

Number two is because there's a void in R&B. It's bringing back R&B music. When I started this album, I did not think, "Let's fill the void." What I did was, I knew that this was the artist that I already was and so I knew when I went in, this is what it was going to be. I knew whatever I did, it was going to fill a void on some level because that's what I do. It wasn't until afterward that I looked at the album and said, "Hey. Wow."

3. The Candy Shop

Number three it has everything to offer as far as genre-wise. There's hip-hop, there's R&B, there's pop, there's soul. So it's got everything. It's like a melting pot of music. I think the album is also very cool because it's not just R&B, it's more updated R&B. It's fun and it has more stuff. It has soul involved in it. It has pop involved in it. So it's like a conglomerate and it's cool because there's a lot of things missing from the industry right now, not just R&B. There's all kinds of good music. We're so focused on hip-hop that we don't even pay attention to any other kind of music. Not saying hip-hop is bad, but you have to be able to branch out. Music is the soundtrack of our lives.

4. Baby Phat

Number four is because I tried to kill myself in losing weight after having a baby so I could do the photo shoot. So I pride myself in doing the photo shoot. Let some people tell it and they'll say I'm still fat as h*ll. They don't give a d*mn that I just had a baby and a C-section seven months ago. Having a baby and losing the weight is not as easy as some people may think. Everybody's body is different. I had to get ready because I knew I couldn't come on television weighing that much. I gained 70 pounds with my baby. So I had to hurry and was not cleared to work out until a month after I had the baby and I put [a music] video out four months after that. So I had lost 45 pounds but still had 35 to go. That was stressful to me because I know the industry is very critical and very cold when it comes to your weight. Especially as a woman. We have to be skinny and pretty to sell our records but men can be fat and ugly as h*ll and still sell records.

5. That's The Bottom Line 'Cause Syleena Said So...

Number five is because I said so. We're going to do that twice.
