Rap veteran Tone Loc is once again making headlines, however, this time it is for collapsing during an Atlanta show Saturday (October 15) night.

While Loc was rushed to a nearby hospital, he is reportedly in recovery mode.

Loc's manager tells TMZ he was suffering from exhaustion. Loc was transported to a nearby hospital and given an IV ... but the manager says he is fine now. TMZ received emails from several people claiming to be present at the concert who said Loc suffered from a seizure, but we cannot confirm this. The manager added ... Tone was merely exhausted from doing 12 shows in the last two months. It does seem curious that doing a show on average of once every five days would lead to such extreme exhaustion. (TMZ)

In 2009, he suffered a seizure following a Florida concert.

Tone was released on Friday after collapsing during an outdoor concert in Florida, officials said. Colleen Kirsch, spokeswoman for Gulf Breeze Hospital, said Friday afternoon that Tone Loc had been treated at the hospital and released. The rapper's manager, Bobby Bessone with B.A.M. Management/Entertainment Artists Agency, said flight delays and heat contributed to the collapse. He said the rapper is recovering. (Associated Press)

The rapper's incident comes weeks after pleading no contest to a domestic violence case.

Rapper Tone Loc pleaded no contest Monday to domestic violence and other charges, about three and a half months after a fight with the mother of his child, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office announced. Tone Loc, whose real name is Anthony Smith, entered the plea in open court of single counts of corporal injury to a spouse, cohabitant or child's parent and possession of an assault weapon, the office said in a press release. The weapon -- a Colt AR-15 Sporter -- was found by investigators, but was not used in the domestic assault. (CNN)

Although Loc only had to spend one night in jail, the rapper-turned-actor was also sentenced to probation and community service.

Superior Court Judge Patrick Hegarty immediately sentenced the 45-year-old rapper, known for such hits as "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," to one day in county jail, three years of formal probation, 30 days of community service and 52 weeks of anger management counseling. Smith, also an actor, did not negotiate a plea deal and instead pleaded no contest and accepted the judge's sentence, Deputy Dist. Atty. Michael Stewart said. (Los Angeles Times)

In July, Loc decided to reject a guilty plea deal for his arrest a month prior.

The artist, whose real name is Anthony Smith, entered the plea in a Burbank, Calif., courthouse on Thursday. Known for the hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," Smith was arrested in the city which is north of Los Angeles on June 18. He also faces a felony possession of an assault weapon charge because Burbank police discovered the rapper has an unregistered Colt AR-15 rifle. (Washington Post)
