News: Soulja Boy Gets Pretty Boy Busted, Arrested In Georgia

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em is making headlines Tuesday (October 16) after getting arrested in Georgia on marijuana and weapons possession.
According to reports, the arrest took place in the early hours of the morning.
Soulja Boy was arrested early this morning for weed possession ... and law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops allegedly found a TON of weed and cash during the arrest. The 21-year-old rapper -- real name DeAndre Cortez Way -- was popped early this morning by Temple Police Department officers in Temple, GA at 3:15 AM. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Soulja was in a car with 4 other men, which was originally pulled over for a traffic violation. (TMZ)
A local police spokesperson has confirmed the arrest and said weapons were also discovered.
Temple Police spokeswoman officer Dana Rampy said the policeman who made the stop searched the car and found "a substantial amount" of marijuana, cash and handguns in the vehicle. Way and his four travel mates were each charged with marijuana possession, marijuana possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and were taken to the Carroll County Jail. "It was a lot of marijuana," Rampy told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, although she could not disclose the exact amount. "All of the individuals were very cooperative," she said. (Access Atlanta)
Currently being held without bail, Soulja Boy is expected to appear in court later today.
Carroll County Jail Records did not list an attorney for the artist. Authorities said he was being held without bond and his first court appearance was set for Tuesday afternoon. (USA Today)
Soulja Boy's last major run-in with police took place two years ago during a music video shoot.
