News: Rick Ross Nixes Live Shows After Multiple Seizures, Birdman & Nicki Minaj Send Prayers

Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has decided to play it safe a day following multiple seizures by canceling a few of his live performances.
According to reports, Ricky Rozay nixed plans to appear at a college home coming event.
Rick Ross pulled out of a scheduled concert in Greensboro, NC on Saturday night, citing health concerns a day after reportedly suffering seizures on two different flights. A spokesperson for the Greensboro Coliseum Complex tells Fox affiliate WGHP that the rapper canceled less than an hour before the NC A&T homecoming concert was set to begin. The Greensboro concert went on as schedued, with DJ Khaled and Marsha Ambrosius on the bill. Ross' next scheduled performance is Friday, Oct. 21 at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. Two days later, he's slotted to perform along with Busta Rhymes at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. (Billboard)
While in recovery, rappers like Nicki Minaj and Birdman have sent their well wishes.
"We actually been talking about him and praying for him on the trailer because he's such a crucial part of hip-hop right now and we're just hoping he's healthy," Nicki Minaj told MTV News. "That's all we can do is pray and hope that he gets some rest and comes back stronger." "Ross is a friend of the family I sure hopes he's alright," Birdman said. (RapFix)

Rapper Rick Ross reportedly suffered a second medical emergency on a plane Friday while traveling to Memphis to perform at a college basketball kickoff. The Miami-based artist's private jet to Tennessee was forced to land in Birmingham, Ala., when he suffered a seizure, NBC station WTVJ of Miami reported. It was the second time in six hours a plane carrying the performer diverted due to concerns over his health. (MSNBC)
The first took place while aboard a plane earlier in the day, resulting in an emergency landing.
Rick Ross is unconscious and paramedics are desperately trying to resuscitate him. Rick was on a flight going from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis today, when the rapper lost consciousness. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing. Emergency workers tell us the call came in at 12:55 PM ET ... the caller reported a seizure. Ross is currently on a gurney at the airport, and an eyewitness tells us EMT workers are administering CPR. Members of Rick's entourage are standing by, some of them extremely emotionally upset.
