News: Nas Scoops Up 'Notorious' Actress In New 'Nasty' Music Video [Video]

Rap veteran Nas reminds the ladies he is once again a bachelor after a publicized divorce from Kelis last year by going "girl crazy" in his new "Nasty" music video.
Scattered with quick cameos, Nas lives out one of his rhymes within the video when he sits next to the actress who portrayed R&B singer Faith Evans in 2009's Notorious film.
Nas gives us a tour of his Queens neighboorhood in the video for "Nasty." "Nasty, directed by Jason Goldwatch who recently directed Pusha T's "Trouble On My Mind," captures Nasir Jones riding around Queensbridge in a Rolls Royce Phantom. Antonique Smith, who plays Faith Evans in "Notorious" (2009), appears in the Phantom alongside Nas when he rhymes, "Maserati, pumpin' Biggie, the great legend/ Blastin'/ I'm after the actress who played Faith Evans." The video is from Nas' upcoming solo album, Life is Good, which he recently talked about.
"I'm knee-deep into the album now. I definitely have some spaces for some guests," he continued. "It just has to be right for the track, or whatever. It just got to sound right. So whatever happens, it'll be for the best. I have some pretty good ideas as to who I want to put on certain songs. So we just have to see if some of these dudes will be with it, if they have time to do it, or whatever. We'll see what happens." (Huffington Post)
Last month, the Queensbridge rapper talked about the significance behind "Nasty."
"You know 'Nasty' is what I would like the game to be right now in a lot of ways; back to the realness," Nasir told MTV News before performing with Damian Marley at Austin City Limits last weekend. "That's why 'Nasty' is out there, it's an M-80. I lit an M-80." The song's video was shot in Nas' native Queensbridge housing projects back in August, but its release has been delayed. Not to worry, says God's Son, it is on its way soon. "Yeah, the 'Nasty' video is coming. I can't wait 'til it hits, it's perfect timing," he said of the clip, which is directed by Decon. "It got pushed back 'cause -- I mean, I guess I got busy, but we shot it, so it's coming out for the people." (MTV)
The rap veteran's record premiered across the country around mid-June.
Nasty Nas is back to claim his throne with the first street single from his upcoming album Life Is Good. Over an old school, gritty production from Salaam Remi, QB's Finest spits verse after verse without a hook. "I'm not in the winters of my life or the beginning stage/ I am the dragon/ Maserati, pumpin' Biggie the great legend, blastin'/ I'm after the actress who played Faith Evans," he rhymes before declaring, "Make room for the king."
