[Run That Beat Back: Still buzzing from this month's BET Hip-Hop Awards cyphers, SOHH is featuring entertainment personalities giving underrated props to a couple of the ceremony's featured rhyme spitters. After Nitti Beatz/DJ Holiday gave 2 Chainz the title last week, The Airplane Boys' Bon Voyage crowns Busta Rhymes SOHH Underrated.]

Busta Rhymes (SOHH Underrated)

If I have to name a rapper that I feel is SOHH Underrated from back in the day, I would have to go with Busta Rhymes. The lyricism and his consistency that he demonstrated coming up was always there. Even with his newer stuff, he's just consistent with the punches.

I think Busta Rhymes is one of the most underrated emcees from years ago up to this era. He still has a crazy flow that goes unmatched. That's definitely an artist that comes to my mind for SOHH Underrated.

You gotta look at where he came from. A lot of guys from his era still aren't making consistent music like him. I really respect his enthusiasm. I feel like he's a really great performer. He still has amazing energy and to see him stay at the speed that he does is amazing.

People don't give him enough credit. Look at what he's done. He's one of the first guys to be really loud in his music videos and not care. He'd have the flashiest Puff Daddy-esque jackets. He had the crazy videos.

From the art of it, he really went in the early days. He's an innovator, regardless. He's an innovator. He's definitely underrated.

The Airplane Boys (Beck Motley & Bon Voyage) are an evolutionary breed of sound that pushes the barriers of modern music. Having mastered their craft with a better grasp of mainstream music, The Airplane Boys have begun to make their move into the pop music industry. Their digital sound constantly evolves; built on captivating synths, experimental drum patterns and intricate lyrics.
