Teenage rapper Diggy Simmons has vowed to keep his music acceptable to all ears by promising to never curse on records.

Diggy credits his family's influence for ultimately swaying him to stay curse-free.

"When people hear me say certain types of things, they say, I wonder what Rev would think," Diggy told 93.9 WKYS. "I wouldn't say anything in the first place that would be shameful to my family anyway, but I am me at the end of the day." And staying true to himself means not using profanity, even though his peers may do so. "That's not even me trying to be clean. I don't need it, I don't need to curse in my rhymes or in any of my songs," explained a confident Diggy. So far he's made good on his word with his popular mixtapes and single "Copy Paste," and sees no need to change. "Honestly, I haven't really sat down and said, when I'm older I'm gonna curse or when I'm older, I'm not, but I don't see myself cursing anytime soon," he said. "I don't think I should ever use it, honestly. I guess I'm making the decision now, I'm never gonna curse. There's no point." (Rap-Up)

Last year, Grammy-winning rapper Eminem admitted he does not allow profanity within his household.

"Profanity around my house? No," he tells Anderson Cooper in a '60 Minutes' interview, airing Sunday. "I'm not saying there's not glimpses of me in the music, [that] there's not truth in ... things that I say. But this is music, this is my art..." When he's at home, the 38-year-old father-of-four (real name: Marshall Mathers) says: "I'm a parent. I have daughters. I mean, how would I really sound, as a person ... walking around my house [saying], 'B*tch, pick this up,' you know what I mean? ... I don't cuss." (Us Magazine)

Recently, radio host-turned-director Russ Parr spoke to SOHH about aiming to keep his films curse-free.

"It's like with my movie 35 & Ticking, we're not using any profanity but maybe "b*tch" and "a**" but I pride myself in not putting profanity in my movies. I don't need someone to say "motherf*cker" for them to appear like a hardcore actor." (SOHH Guest Star)

Outside of curses, Diggy previously named his top three favorite rappers.

"Jay-Z has inspired me big time. Reasonable Doubt is one of my favorite Jay albums of all time." Diggy's pick-"Dead Presidents." "I'm a big fan of Kanye West. He's really innovative in the stuff that he does." Diggy's pick- "I Wonder." "Lupe [Fiasco] is probably my favorite rapper of all time. He's a person I look to and the reason why I am the way I am, lyrically." Diggy's pick - "Little Weapon." (VIBE)
