North Carolina's big three albums have crash landed into stores, as Phonte, 9th Wonder and J. Cole's projects are now officially ready and waiting to be heard by the masses.

Cole, who's first week sales predictions are already at 250K units sold, is the clear commercial favorite of the bunch. But as all Hip-hop heads know, sales don't always equal the best album. As ex-Little Brother producer 9th Wonder said in a recent interview, a great album needs to be an event, a solid body of work that takes its listener into the world of its host. Deep sh*t, Wonder.
So while Cole has the young crowd, where does that leave Tigallo and Wonder? Well, being that they used to be in the same group, they share alot of the same fans. Tigallo's Charity Starts at Home much like The Wonder Years is a soulful, blue collar journey that takes the audience from the stage, to the kitchen table to the never-ending grind that is rap music. 9th lends his genius to many of the albums tracks, which is not only a treat to Little Brother fans hoping for another LB album (which will more than likely never come) but the perfect pairing of talent. Think Kanye and Common. Snoop and Dre. Phonte and 9th.
So for the first time ever, we had 3 well respected acts from The Tarheel State release and album on the same day. No beef. No faux-rivalry. Just dope beats, dope rhymes and a treat for rap fans everywhere. But which album will stand the test of time and get play in the whip this time next year?
SOHH Watcha Think -- Which release from North Carolina reigned supreme this week: Phonte, Wonder or Cole?
