No one wants to see a rapper (or anyone, for that matter) behind bars. Sh*t, over the past couple years, the Hip-hop police have been cracking down on spitters who break the law, as T.I., Boosie, Ja, and a slew of others have been tossed in the slammer over various crimes.

So it was kinda funny (in a "say word?" kinda way) when, earlier this year ex-Bad Boy MC G-Dep gave cops a special delivery by rolling up into a police station and confessing to a murder that took place during an attempted robbery nearly 20 years ago. That's right, the General snitched on himself.
To make things even more weird, Dep recently plead not guilty to the crime.
Let that marinate.
Apparently G isn't happy with the deal being offered by the District Attorney.
According to DNAInfo.com, the 36-year-old turned himself in to clear his conscience of shooting a man in an attempted robbery, only to later learn that the attack was fatal. The DA's office said it would only offer a plea deal for the top count - murder in the second degree - which could put him behind bars for 25 years to life.(Hip Hop DX)
A clear conscience is one thing, but it's kind of difficult to plead your innocence when you turned yourself in on a an 18-year old murder case. We hope things work out for Dep but it definitely seems likes he's in for the fight of his life on this one.
