Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has receieved some birthday love this week courtesy of 17 year-old singer Justin Bieber's new "How to Love" remix.

Bieber decided to cover Weezy's hit single and dedicate it to the Young Money leader, who turned 29 Tuesday (September 27).

If you, like Vulture, forgot to send a really awesome present, don't worry; Justin Bieber was on top of it. Young Biebs tweeted out a remix of Wayne's oft-maligned hit single "How to Love" late last night, with an obligatory birthday greeting. Okay, hear us out: Even if you weren't a fan of the slightly dull original, you might enjoy this cover. In fact, this cover might explain why many Wayne devotees weren't particularly jazzed on the single. This is actually a Justin Bieber song! Granted, Biebs tries a lot harder in his version: We're talking harmonies, a meandering guitar riff, and even a brief appearance by Shawty Mane (that would be Bieber's rapping alter ego, though this breathy verse maybe only counts as half-rap). Over the summer, Wayne explained his decision not to work with Bieber at this stage in his career.

While fans can expect to hear both Heartbreak Drake and Ms. Minaj on Tha Carter IV, it's the two Justin's that Weezy F. also talks about. "That's my little homie now," Wayne says of The Biebs. "He texts me every night asking me to do [his] d*mn song. That's my n*gga, but I can't do it. Like I said, I don't want to f*ck his sh*t up. But like I said, I want to work with Justin Timberlake. That boy got a voice; that boy can sing. He needs to come back right there on Tha Carter IV." (XXL Mag)

Last month, rapper/producer David Banner talked about Bieb's hip-hop appreciation.

And what happened, particularly when it came time for Bieber's contribution, took the entire studio by surprise. "I'm very protective of hip-hop, and I would never produce a song if I didn't think it was jamming," Banner shared, "and Justin Bieber floored everybody in the studio." For those questioning the credibility of Shawty Mane's hustle and flow skills, Banner sets the record straight. "When I look at the blogs, people are trying to dust it like: 'Did somebody write it? Was it Pro-Tooled together?' That boy... I actually wanted the very first take. We ended up doing it again, but he spit the whole verse all the way down non-stop. He spit," Banner clarified, explaining that the Biebs is a true student of hip-hop. "It made me feel good because it shows you the effect of [hip-hop] culture. And for him to study and dissect our culture that way... he really has a respect to spend that much time, because that takes practice to be able to spit and rap like that. And I was impressed." Recently, former Ruff Ryder artist Drag-On told SOHH he would jump if given an opportunity to record alongside Bieber.

"Yeah, h*ll yeah," Drag told SOHH when asked if he would collaborate with Justin Bieber. "H*ll yeah, dog. I co-sign Justin Bieber. He's a little young kid doing his thing. He came up off the Internet doing nothing. You know what I'm saying? I respect it. Word up. He's young. I wish that dude the best. I'd jump on a song with Justin Bieber tonight, yo!" (SOHH)
