Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa lead this year's annual BET Hip-Hop Awards set to take place next month.
While Weezy leads the pack with 18 nods, Ye and Wiz are tied with the second most.
Lil Wayne continues his winning streak. The hip-hop heavyweight has been nominated a record-breaking 18 times at the BET Hip-Hop Awards '11. Weezy scores his nominations in the coveted categories of Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year, and Video of the Year for "I'm on One" and "Look at Me Now," which he shares with Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes. Trailing behind Weezy are Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa, who tied with nine nods each including MVP of the Year. Rick Ross follows with eight and Chris Brown nabs six. Nicki Minaj is the only female rapper nominated this year in categories including Lyricist of the Year and CD of the Year for her breakthrough debut Pink Friday. (Rap-Up)
Taking place in Atlanta, comedian Mike Epps is slated to host the ceremony.

Last year, Young Money's Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z dominated the awards show.
The 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards was very good to female lyricist Nicki Minaj who collected her fare share of awards on Saturday, October 2. Minaj received the Rookie of the Year, People's Champ and the Made You Look award for her off the wall fashion style. Fitted to kill in a black dominatrix-like outfit, NYC-ish blond bob hairdo, pink nails and lipstick, Minaj grabbed her awards and "ran." "Last year, I was here in anticipation of the cypher," she told the crowd, referring to the artist rap freestyles that run in between the award presentations and performances. "Now I'm here in anticipation of my debut. [Pink Friday, set for release November 23.] "I'm paving the way for girls," she continued. "I wanna thank all the girls of hip-hop." Jay-Z was also able to bag three awards with the Perfect Combo "Empire State of Mind" (with Alicia Keys), CD of the Year (The Blueprint 3) and Best Live Performer. (Singersroom)
