Just when you thought the Twitter war was over, Boston rapper Benzino has come forward again to address dismissive comments launched his way via current rap foe Royce Da 5'9.
Emphasizing that he refuses to be daunted by Royce's remarks, Zino boldly stated that he would not be opposed to battling the Slaughterhouse MC.
I could release a couple songs and go at his head -- I probably will. But it's a chess game. When you battlin' these dudes, every move is a calcuated step. I'm just waitin' to see what happens. If they send a shot over, you can best believe I got missiles ready.(SOHH)
According to Benzino, quality of music should be the final deciding factor in which artist deserves respect from the masses.
This guy's talkin' about respect but you gotta realize that this is the same dude that was going at Eminem all hard on beef, but then basically went back and bowed down to him. Then he comes out with Bad Meets Evil, that sells a whole bunch of copies. Then [Royce] comes out with a solo CD that ain't sold sh*t. At the end of the day, it all comes down to who got the hotter [music].(SOHH)
Last month, Royce insisted that his war of words with Benzino should not be taken seriously.
Let me just clarify that were not beefin'. I've been in real beefs in my life and Benzino is no where near anything close to that. He hasn't done anything to make me feel threatened, and I don't respect him enough for it to be anything other than some words on Twitter. (SOHH)
Royce suspects that Benzino was behind a Twitter account that sparked a brief online rap feud between the two earlier this summer..
I don't believe him. I don't understand why people hold [others] to such a high standard, like people can't tell a lie. Would you admit that it was you if you got fried like that? If you got fried the way me and my timeline fried him would you ever take accountability for that being your [Twitter] account? (SOHH)
