Underrated: "When I See [Him], I See A Young Jay-Z"

[With class sessions back in full swing, this week SOHH has decided to demonstrate school spirit by featuring entertainment personalities naming hip-hop newcomers they feel are most underrated. After Waka Flocka Flame gave J. Cole the title last week, Benzino crowns "freshman" rapper Ray Ray aka Cool Breeze Ray as SOHH Underrated.]
Ray Ray been in the game since he was 7. He's 18 now. His pen game is just rediculious. He lives with me in Miami, so that right there is just a whole different type of music vibe and he's soakin' that in. That [energy] going along with what he has lyrically is just gonna enhance his abilities.
I think the young generation sees themself totally different than I would probably see them, as far as beat wise. When I see Ray Ray, I see a young Jay-Z. But of course, Jay grew up differently. Ray's generation aint the same, but just his persona and the way he goes [about] things, I definitely see it.
All these kids are gonna be the hottest kids 'cause they've been influenced by some hot, hot MCs. The Lil Wayne's, the Rick Ross' ... they been influenced by some real hot cats. Ray sees me as somebody that never gives up, know what I'm sayin -- plus he grew up in the studio.
So I'm not worried about Ray. I think any which way he wants to go he'll be successful as long as he keeps his focus.
Ray Ray aka Cool Breeze Ray is a Miami artist and son of rapper Benzino. Be sure to check out more of our Back-To-School artists this week.
