Once a rapper hits the mainstream, they are living on borrowed time: The fight to keep your name hot in the streets is a constant battle and even if you give your best effort, there's no guarantee they'll love you tomorrow.

Some artists remain in the game too long, others leave too soon. Very few leave voluntarily and even less gracefully bow out. From DMX to Master P (yep), there has been talk of this guy or that possibly dusting off the mic and getting back in the booth, which poses the question -- What rapper(s) would you most like to see make a return to Hip Hop?

It may seem like once an artist leaves the limelight, its impossible to get back in. But that's not necessarily true. Let's look at a few who have their eyes dead set on making more noise in the rap world:

Busta Rhymes
Busta Rhymes
Truth be told: I miss the fun-loving, cartoonish Busta. Seems like Bussa Buss stop being fun ever since Jay-Z dropped the line "And i ain't animated, like say a, Busta Rhymes."

Yeah. I think that joint right there may have hit him the wrong way. Either way, he's making noise here and there, with a mega-rapid fire flow and a guest spot on one of the biggest radio singles of the year, Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now".

Black Rob

Ya man served four years in the pen, but Black Rob a.k.a Banco Popular is still a spitter. His latest album, Game Tested, Streets Approved dropped earlier this summer, and by listening to "Boiling Water"  (the video above) its clear that the hunger is still there.

T.I. is slated to be home in the very near future, and it'll be good to see how long he'll stay out this go round. Let's hope its for good this time, but if not, maybe we'll luck up and he'll bless us with a quadruple-disc mega project to keep the wave going until he's free again.

Speaking of returning to the game, here is more footage of Lil Wayne crafting music for The Carter IV -- his first album set to drop since becoming a free man again.
