Mobb Deep's Prodigy recently shared his political take on President Barack Obama and said while he may be celebrated by millions, the nation's head of state should be watched carefully.
Capital P believes Obama is ultimately associated with a team of individuals focused on world domination.
"My view on [Obama] is that, number one, you can't be a president of the United States unless you're a part of this bloodline that they got going on that goes all the way back to European royalty," P explained in an interview. "So, they got this bloodline going on and whether people believe it or not, it's very real. You will not be an American president unless you are linked and a part of this bloodline. Obama is...From what I see, whether he knows it or not, he's down with this whole conspiracy to rule the world. He's a part of it. To brainwash people, to kill people, genocide, everything that goes on out here that's so fantastic you really don't want to believe it, he's a part of it." (Alex Jones)
A couple months ago, Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco made headlines for labeling Obama the nation's biggest terrorist.
"In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America," Fiasco said in an interview. "For me, I'm trying to fight the terrorism that's actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you as a government allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it's easy for us because it's really just some oil, which we can really get on our own." (CBS News)
Despite catching heat for his remarks, Fiasco later said he felt no regret.
"I've got nothing to clarify. It's Obama and the U.S. government," Lupe said, echoing his comments to CBS. "[It's] every president that came before him and every president that comes after him...It's funky because everybody's pulling soundbites from this one interview that we did, but they don't talk about anything else from the interview. So it's really about, 'What do people want to listen to?' It's not what I want to talk about, cause I want to talk about all types of sh*t... there wasn't the same reaction about me having a book club... about me trying to promote literacy in a country with 50 million functioning illiterates walking around, because we have a failed and flawed education system." Shortly afterward, Prodigy co-signed Fiasco's political stance.
"I would have to agree with him," Prodigy said referring to Fiasco's comments. "Most of these politicians and these government officials...most of them are the real terrorists...I was definitely checking [Obama] out and seeing what he was doing and what he was about [while locked up]...But I already knew ahead of time - I've been studying all that type of stuff since like 15, 16 years old, so... You can't pull the wool over my eyes. I already know what time it is...There's nothing you can say to confuse me about any of that type of stuff. I know it's all a game that they're playing. It's all a facade." (Hip Hop DX)
