Famed music video director Hype Williams is set to make a strong film directorial comeback, as the brains behind Belly is slated to direct an upcoming sexual thriller entitled Lust.

Details of the new film landed online this week.

Music video wizard Hype Williams is coming on board to direct Joe Eszterhas' sexual thriller Lust for Scott Steindorff and his Stone Village Prods. Peter J. Fruchtman will also produce Lust, with Dylan Russell and Scott LaStaiti exec producing. Producers are casting for a Nov. 1 start date for lensing. Stone Village, which is financing the $28 million budget, acquired the script this spring from Eszterhas, whose resume includes "Basic Instinct," "Sliver" and "Showgirls." (Variety)

The plot reportedly focuses on a woman who has an affair that leads into scandal.

Story centers on a 30-year-old woman married to an older Miami-based magazine publisher. The woman is seduced by a younger, charming playboy -- who secretly videotapes himself and his new lover having sex, leading to the woman's life unraveling." (Crave Online)

Hype is most known for his directing talent from the hip-hop game.

Williams is highly regarded for his work on some of hip-hop's biggest music videos including a handful of clips for Kanye West, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, among others. He has directed one other feature film in the past, the 1998 cult-classic, Belly. (XXL Mag)

Earlier this year, Williams directed Lil Wayne's "6 Foot, 7 Foot" music video.

Originally set to premiere last month, Lil Wayne's music video for his new single "6 Foot 7 Foot" has finally arrived on March 3 very early in the morning. It's directed by Hype Williams and features cameos from Cory Gunz, his father Peter Gunz and the other Young Money crew. Recorded for Weezy's forthcoming studio album "Tha Carter IV", the song also becomes his first post-prison single. The rapper knew there would be much attention given to the track, so he used it to introduce his new Young Money signee Cory. (Ace Showbiz)

A release date for Lust has not yet been announced.
