West Coast rapper Game's R.E.D. Album is reportedly en route to sell just under 100,000 copies after its first week on store shelves.
Based on one-day estimates, the rapper's fifth album will easily see its debut on the sales chart.
Game's new Interscope release, The R.E.D. Album, is slated to do in the range of 90-95k in sales, according to one-day reports from those music retailers who haven't closed up shop and set up Ludo Bites pop-up restaurants. It's the rap star's first album since 2008's LAX and stands for his self-declared "Rededication to hip-hop." And, oh yeah, dropping the "The" from his name. (HITS Daily Double)
Days prior to the album's release this week, the album fell victim to unauthorized leaks.
"I see tracks off R.E.D. leaking.... Lotta love coming my way. Thanks, but if if u see FULL album don't download ! We only gotta another week," he tweeted August 16th.
"From "Purp & Patron" to "Hoodmorning" to "Daytona 500" yall should have enough music to hold yall over for another week. #DoNotBootlegRED"
"If you listen to "Daytona 500" 10 times inna row it will be next Tuesday when u done ha ha" (Game's Twitter)
The project features multiple guest appearances including rap stars like Dr. Dre, Beanie Sigel and Rick Ross.

Earlier this month, the West Coast rapper talked about reuniting with Dre for his new LP.
"The album is real theatrical; it's a movie," Game said. "And it's narrated by Dr. Dre -- the entire album." Dre, who originally signed Game to his Aftermath label and oversaw the rapper's debut, The Documentary, has played a limited role in the rapper's career since Game's fallout with 50 Cent, who is also signed to Dre's Aftermath. Since then, the West Coast production icon hasn't contributed beats or vocals to any of Game's subsequent albums. And though the two have since reconciled and have been spotted in the studio together, this will mark the first time that they've actually collaborated on album-worthy material. (RapFix)
