Rolling Stone Magazine may have crowned Marshall Mathers King of Hip Hop, but in the realm of rap music, no man has mastered the art of the sneak diss more than Shawn Carter.

Sneak (or subliminal) disses are an ultra-slick way of attacking your opponent while still maintaining a certain level of deniability. It's like throwing a stone in the crowd: If it just happens to hit someone you so happen to be enemies with ... woops.

Technically, no one can ever prove you were aiming for that particular person in the first place, right?

Observers do notice, however, if said stone is repeatedly thrown by the same hand. For an artist like Hov, whose discography runs more than ten albums deep, it doesn't take much digging to find songs in which linesa randomly flung, only to hit their target with deadly accuracy.

Slick "Take That, Take That" Diss At Dame Dash

"I heard m*****s sayin they made Hov/made Hov say, 'Okay, so, make another Hov'" (Lost Ones)

Subliminal Shot At 50 Gettin' Shot

"I'm afraid of the future/Y'all respect the one who got shot/I respect the shooter.(30 Something)

... believe it or not ...

Jay-Z Sneak Disses Jay-Z

"It's like when n*ggas make subliminal records/If it ain't directed directly at me, I don't respect it..."(Dear Summer)

Subliminal Shot At Baby's Claims of Superior Wealth

"I'm like really half a billi n*gga/Really you got baby money/Keep it real with n*ggas/n*ggas ain't got my lady money" (H.A.M)

From this particular line, our question of the day is born. Swooping in to defend his daddy, Weezy fired back at Hov on The Carter 4. Tunechi not only (subliminally) accused Jay of not being real, but also threatened to steal his most prized possession and hold her for as many racks as Jigga was willing to pay. Unlike the Nas beef, where names were directly stated, this brewing storm remains indirect. Weezy believes Jay will take this as a warning shot and fall back, meanwhile Hov has yet to respond.

SOHH Watcha Think -- Jay has been known to stir ill feelings, then take the "high road" by not responding, but has Wayne dropped a line that may bait him into a battle ... in other words, has Jigga's history of sneak dissing finally caught up with him?
