The rap game drives people crazy, yo. From Consequence calling himself a wizard warrior then declaring war on Kanye's kingdom, to rapper Game daring his Twitter followers to kill him, to the kid 50 Cent holding a Dr. Dre song hostage, Hip Hop is turning into some "Lord of the Rings" as told by Martin Scorsese sh*t.

Wednesday afternoon 50 had a copy of Dr. Dre's new single (ironically, the song is called "Psycho") tied up in a Brooklyn basement and threatened to leak it online if Interscope didn't treat him fairly.

That's right. The one time rap bully has resorted to throwing tantrums in order to get his label to properly handle his latest project, titled Black Magic. The talk on Twitter gives the impression that fans aren't checking for this CD like they were for previous releases. The energy Fif displayed in Get Rich or Die Trying is what the people are looking for.

Pardon the rant, but it had to be said.

GRODT was a long time ago, and since then 50 has successfully (and sometimes unsuccesfully) tried every  trick in the book to build momentum for his albums, but this time, nothing seems to be working. Which brings us to our Question of the Day: What caused 50 to lose his mind? Here are 3 reasons why G-Unit's leader has gone mad:

T.I. is in jail
T.I. Court

Fiddy is a smart cat. He knows what's poppin' on ni**as album release dates -- and he knows whats poppin' on ni**as prison release dates. I wouldn't put it past Mr. Cent to be intentionally pushing his album back in order to start a beef with T.I. again once he's free. TIP is scheduled for release very soon, I bet 50 is waiting outside with a camera and a battle beat.

Ja Rule is in jail

Fiddy's best frenemy began his two-year bid earlier this year. The two took their beef from the streets, to the booth, then to Twitter. One can only speculate as to whether or not 50 has flown Ja a kite or two, requesting that Rule drop a diss record via phone.

Kanye crushed him in 2007

If 50 got the kind people at Interscope to push the gas on Black Magic, maybe it could drop in time for him to pit it against Yeezy's upcoming collabo project Watch the Throne. Yeah, he'd get crushed commercially, but he could use the free press.

The man is lonely: Most people need friends, Fiddy needs enemies. Rick Ross is too busy being a bawsss and with most of his other sparring buddies either incarcerated or uninterested, the kid is going psycho in these streets. Hours after his threats toward Interscope, 50 cleaned up his statements and safely returned Dre's track -- unleaked and unharmed.

SOHH Watcha Think -- What caused 50 Cent to lose mind and do we care about his latest album?
