Terror Squad affiliate DJ Khaled recently elaborated on his impression of Fat Joe shedding nearly 100 pounds and what lifestyle effects the new diet has had on the Bronx rapper.
According to Khaled, Joey Crack's slimmed down look now has him in smaller clothing.
"Joe lost so much weight that I can't believe it," Khaled said in an interview. "I was just on the phone with him and he was like, 'Khaled I wear a 1X. I walk into Bal Harbour, go to Gucci and whatever.' ... Now he goes into any store and buys a 1X. He said he feels the best he ever felt and he's back in the studio working -- I think by him losing all this weight, it just inspired him, just more inspiration for him to make more hit records." In May, Khaled also showed off his weight-losing secrets by releasing a video working out in a gym.
"Aight check this out, it's We The Best Forever, it's DJ Khaled, it's going to be a hot summer," Khaled said in a video. "I'm in the gym, gotta stay healthy even though we busy 24 hours getting this money hustling hard. But right now, I'm warning you now, I'm about to drop the biggest record in the country. My second single is going to be a problem. Stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, I gotta get in this gym because we're gonna shoot the biggest video ever. Video shot be Gil Green, co-directed by Drake aka Drizzy. It's gonna be the biggest record in the country...We ain't trying to slim down, [but] if we do, give thanks. You feel me? I'm a fly brother. Let's go swimming...Aight, check this out. After a hard workout, and some laps in the pool -- order yourself a Pina Colada, get in the jacuzzi, We The Best Forever is coming soon. It's going to be a hot summer. My second single is coming soon." (Dazed One Productions)
A few days ago, Khaled said Joe's new weight loss has affected his overall appreciation toward life.
"Joe's in the studio right now working on his new album," Khaled said in an interview. "I was actually in the studio with him a month ago. We keep putting out music. Everybody and the team keeps putting out music. Be ready for a new Joe Crack album. He lost 'a lot' of weight. He's happier than ever, you know what I'm saying? [He's] working out, eating better and not only that, life is motivaiton, you know what I'm saying? I'm happy for him, you know what I'm saying?" (Hard Knock TV)
Recently, Joe's "Paradise" remix collaborator Mickey Factz hit up SOHH and shared his reaction to the rapper's new look.
"I'm happy that he's lost the weight," Factz told SOHH referring to Fat Joe. "Being somebody from the Bronx and being able to see the loss and impact of Big Pun before he got a chance to lose weight, it was devastating to the borough, it was devastating to the BX rappers. So to see Joe lose this weight is a good thing for him. And I'm proud. I think he's gonna catch a wave. It's gonna clean up his image a little bit and I don't know if he wants to continue to be called Fat Joe but at the end of the day, I'm glad." (SOHH)
