While fans continue to wait for Lil Wayne's delayed Carter IV album, Young Money's Lil Twist has divulged on the songs expected to appear on the forthcoming LP, including a track featuring himself entitled "Flowers".
Although the record is meant for Carter IV, Twist said fans could get a sneak peek if it lands on Wayne's upcoming Sorry For the Wait mixtape.
"It's amazing, it's great, it's outstanding," Twist said of the project, which Wayne is releasing to appease fans since his proper album, Tha Carter IV, has been delayed numerous times. "And, he's rapping. He's going in and y'all are gonna love it." Twist revealed he's also heard all of Weezy's album, now scheduled to drop August 29. "I've heard it all," Twist said. "Yes, we're in the studio every day, every night, till the morning, till sun up in Miami, so I've heard it all." Lil Twist himself will be rapping on one or both of Weezy's forthcoming projects. He revealed the name of the song he appears on: "It's called 'Flowers.' I can say it may make the mixtape, it may not. Because it's for C4, and it's also for Sorry For the Wait. It'll make either one, maybe both." (MTV)
Wayne recently said he needed better production efforts for his upcoming LP.
"These n*ggas' beats been sucking," Wayne explained in an interview. "I'm putting it out there: You producing? What y'all doing? Get right, man. Step it up. This is coming from a rapper. One of the best rappers. I ain't saying I'm the best no more, because these n*ggas is too good these days. I got old. But d*mn, y'all n*ggas' beats is terrible! [Chad Ochocinco walks into the room] These n*ggas' beats sound like Ochocino made them." (XXL Magazine)
Young Money's Gudda Gudda recently spoke to SOHH about the LP living up to 2008's Tha Carter III.
"I think it's going to be big and I'm not just saying that because he's my homie," Gudda Gudda told SOHH when asked about the delayed project. "I'm just being honest. I think it's going to be big and it can match up to what Tha Carter III did. The expectations are really big and it's going to be really big for hip-hop when it finally comes out." (SOHH)
As of now, the project will not drop until next month.
Looks like "John" featuring Rozay wasn't picking up the steam it needed. The good folks over at Universal just let loose a new release date for Dwayne's highly anticipated Carter IV which is now August 29th and not June 21st. However, with his recently released left field single "How To Love", I'm sure the Young Money leader will have plenty of leg room to work that as well as a visual for the effort. Hell, The Martian might be able to let go of another offering as well. (You Heard That New)
Tha Carter IV is currently set to hit store shelves Monday, August 29th.
