News: Killer Mike Cameo Costs Police Officer Job, "[He's] Seen In A Ski Mask W/ His Squad Car"

A former Georgia police officer has reportedly lost his job after appearing in Southern rapper Killer Mike's music video.
Reports claim Officer Floyd Sawyer used a ski mask and his own vehicle in Mike's video.
According to former Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept. Officer Floyd Sawyer's personnel record, he was fired from the department for appearing in a rap video with his squad car and uniform and then lying to his superiors about it. The rap video was for artist Killer Mike and Sawyer is seen in a ski mask with his squad car in the background with the lights on. In the personnel file, Sawyer admits to being in the video. Sawyer's participation in the video was not authorized by the department documents say. (KLTV News)
Aside from the music video, Sawyer was arrested earlier this week on drug-related charges.
Sawyer, 44, was arrested on a criminal complaint - he has not been indicted - and charged with drug trafficking and extortion while working in full uniform as an off-duty security guard at Club Deja-Groove, 302 Williamson St. He allegedly acted with at least one other metro officer working off duty, according to an affidavit filed by FBI Agent Joshua Hayes. A day later, Sawyer was released on a $25,000 bond.
Former Savannah-Chatham police officer Floyd B. Sawyer was released Tuesday on a $25,000 unsecured bond after his arrest by federal officials on charges stemming from a drug trafficking-extortion scheme while in uniform at a Savannah night club. Sawyer was arrested Monday on a federal complaint, but has not been indicted. He appeared Tuesday without a lawyer for an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge G.R. Smith. (Savannah Now)
In May, Killer Mike shared his reflection on today's current state of music.
"I am witnessing the world change b4 my eyes. I am watching non southern kids rap in triple six mafia style & UGK & Bouncing. Chad Won Hoe!," he tweeted Monday (May 30).

The music video's title and Officer Sawyer's termination date have not been revealed.
