Dipset's Juelz Santana recently detailed what his ideal reality show would encompass and which events over the past few years would be reason enough for his pitch to get picked up by a network.
Thinking back to his reconciliation with Cam'ron, Dipset reuniting and the hurdles they have conquered together, Santana believes a reality show could easily draw interest.
"Just juggling the lifestyle, being a father, an artist, a businessman, you know what I'm saying," Santana said when asked to pitch his ideal reality show. "Coming from, you know, the Diplomats and just the things I went through with Cam, getting over these humps, us getting back together. It's a lot of things going on that would definitely be very intriguing if I decided to open my life up like that to the people -- Me just starting new trends, going to stores, you see how the swag is created. Just being able to be that close to the swag everyday, in the life." (AHH Video)
Santana also shared his reaction to fellow Dipset member Jim Jones' "Love & Hip-Hop" reality show success.
"I feel like it was definitely a good thing for Jim because people see Jim as this bad guy," Juelz added referring to Jones' "Love & Hip-Hop" reality show. "It just allowed people to see an aspect of his life they might have never thought existed. He's got a girlfriend, they're in love, and everybody has problems. Like I said, you're going to go through it but their bond together is strong. At the end of the day, it is what it is. They're getting married soon, so shout out to them." (AHH Video)
Last spring, Jones talked to SOHH about initially turning down VH1's reality show offer.
"'Love & Hip-Hop' was initially my TV show that [VH1] has been trying to do for about four years now. But for three years prior, they had been trying to get me to do this reality show and they shot a pilot. I wasn't really feeling the pilot, because I felt the camera was too much on me and showing too much of my life as far as Jim Jones is concerned. So we had re-evaluated the situation." (SOHH)
Jim also said he offered VH1 an opportunity to gain his support if they found a way for his girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin to get her own show.
"My lady had an opportunity to shoot a pilot too, but the pilot she shot kind of fell through and she took interest in the whole reality show thing. So I went over to VH1 and told them if they want me to put my involvement in a TV show, or all of my involvement, they need to do a show behind her and I'll do it. I also said I'd find a way to participate in it to make sure it'll be a success. And that's really how the whole show came together. They went and got Olivia, Emily and the girl Somaya. Then they put them around Chrissy and now you have 'Love & Hip-Hop.' Two episodes in and it's feeling like a sitcom." (SOHH)
