[Queens Gets The Money: This week, SOHH is celebrating the historic New York borough by featuring an entertainment personality naming a Queens rapper they feel is the most underrated. After $hamrock named Lil Wyte last week, Havoc crowns Royal Flush as SOHH Underrated.]
There's so many rappers and emcees that you could call SOHH Underrated. That title can be given to a range of people. But I would have to go with Royal Flush. I knew Royal Flush personally and his lyrics were just crazy.
He was an ill lyricist and I don't know why [he] never really caught on with the mainstream. I don't know. I couldn't even begin to think why not. It was just that his lyrical content was crazy. He was just dope. Flush had a couple of records and I definitely think he was one of the most underrated.
I had been in the studio with him a few times in the past and I got to see him do his thing. When it came to him doing music, he held it down. I always had a lot of respect for what Royal Flush did. But me getting a chance to see him in the studio was big. That added to the reason why I chose Flush as the artist I feel is the most underrated.
Havoc produces most of the tracks on every Mobb Deep album, and has produced songs for MCs such as Method Man, Eminem, Nas, Foxy Brown, Onyx, O.G.C., The Notorious B.I.G., Jadakiss, Styles P, Game, Diddy, LL Cool J, La The Darkman, Big Noyd,Termanology, Jimmy Mserembo, Capone-N-Noreaga, and his own partner Prodigy on his solo work.
