Exclusive: Cali Swag's C-Smoove Says Beware The Next "Dougie"

After taking the nation by storm with their "Teach Me How To Dougie" hit, SOHH hit up Cali Swag District's frontman C-Smoove to find out if they have plans to resurrect another classic hip-hop dance.
Although there are no immediate plans, Smoove said the crew would do a follow-up for fun if hip-hop needed it.
"We don't think we're gonna do that right now," C-Smoove told SOHH when asked if they would resurrect a follow-up to "The Dougie" dance. "If necessary, we might just do it just to have some fun, just to bring that fun back. But I'm not going to guarantee it just because we haven't thought about that or put it into our plans." (SOHH)
In 2010, C-Smoove described the difference between their "Dougie" and the "Jerk" dance.
"The song 'Teach Me How To Dougie,' that's just like a southern dance, the dance has nothing to do with the jerk. We made a song called 'Jerk Dog' just because the jerk movement is so hot, but that song was for fun. We like to get on our grown man on. When we step out, we put on button ups, pea coats and stuff like that. Shout out to everybody who is a part of the jerk movement." (Yahoo News)
Earlier this year, Cali Swag's Yung broke down a few No-No's to the "Dougie" dance.
"To us, there's really not a wrong way to do the 'Dougie,' just as long at you're having fun while you're doing it," Yung told SOHH. "But what we hate to see is when people clap their hands. What they do is start clapping their hands and then start doing the 'Jerk' with it. See, doing the 'Dougie' and doing the 'Jerk' is two different things. So when they start to 'Dougie' and then clap their hands as they start to 'Jerk,' that throws it off a little bit. I'd say that'd be one no-no." (SOHH)
Another wrong move is upping the tempo of your "Dougie" during a slow jam.
"I think you can 'Dougie' on a first date, I mean, that's how we get the ladies. So you take a girl out and tell her, 'Look, let me dance for you.' She might like it. You know what I'm saying? [laughs] If you're doing the 'Dougie' to a slow beat, and you go real fast, that's a no-no because it just looks weird." (SOHH)
