G-Unit leader 50 Cent continues to make waves just weeks after partnering with Southern rapper Shawty Lo by signing New Orleans' Kidd Kidd.
While details are still developing, Kidd Kidd is now aligned with 50's G-Unit team.
Here's one for the naysayers. G-Unit's very own Tony Yayo shot the clip for his "Haters" video today flanked by G-Unit boss 50 Cent and the labels latest acquisition Shawty Lo. The video was shot in L-O's Atlanta home state and features a cameo from the Unit's new artist, Kid Kidd. Stay tuned for more news on 50's next wave of G-Unit. (Rapfix)
On the set of Tony Yayo's "Haters" music video this weekend, Kidd Kidd hinted at his G-Unit association.
"Good mornin video shoot today me @TonyYayo @50cent shawty lo its goin dwn big ups to all my haters," he tweeted Saturday (Kidd Kidd's Twitter)
Kidd Kidd recently hit up SOHH and talked about 50 supporting his latest solo album, The Reallionaire.
"Real n*ggas do real things and 50 Cent is an official n*gga," Kidd Kidd told SOHH. "He's a real n*gga and I don't care what any n*gga's got to say about him. Anything anybody's got to say about 50 they might as well say it about me too. Real n*gga sh*t. He came to my album release party and this man called me. He called me himself. He didn't need nobody to call me and he came himself. He hit me up like, 'Yo, what's up Kidd? What's up with you?' And this was before the party and all of that, he wanted to holler at me and I respect that because most people in the game, they go into that Hollywood talk and they send their people to talk to your people. But 50 came at me direct and I respect that. It's a respect thing, you feel me? There's not too many real out there that do what they do. He told me when he comes down to New Orleans, he's gonna come and get at me. And that's what happened. He came to the N.O. and got with me. Whatever I got going on, he came and supported me. He didn't have to be there but he came through. He didn't come through on some, 'I'm gonna need some money for this appearance,' nah, my dog came through, performed and everything." (SOHH)
A few days ago, Shawty Lo talked about inking a partnership deal with 50.
"My vision, man, is to give it 100 percent, whatever we do," Shawty said. "I really signed with 50 because I feel like 50's a marketing genius. I've been watching him since he first came into the game before I even thought about becoming a rapper. But to make it short and simple, I signed a big deal with 50, $10 million deal. If that ain't enough, he's sitting right beside me, so let's get it...A lot of artists come into the game and they don't know thebusiness side. So basically, I was one of those artists at first in the beginning. In the music business, it's really 20 percent music and 80 percent business. If you learn the business, you can really go a long way." (Hot 107.9)
