With last night's premiere of "Ice Loves Coco" finally airing, SOHH recently hit up Ice-T to find out what he hopes viewers gain from his new television venture alongside wife Coco.
While this is Ice-T's first reality television series, the rapper-turned-actor hopes his show will help inspire couples and fans ignore negative stereotypes.
"I hope we inspire people," Ice-T told SOHH. "I hope we help people look and say, 'You know what? You can be a couple, you can have fun, it doesn't have to be drama, you can get money, you can hustle together. You can Bonnie and Clyde this thing out. You can have a sexy wife. You can have a gangster husband. You can enjoy life and it doesn't have to be drama.' Right now, if you watch TV you won't think there's a happy woman in the world. So we're gonna show you it doesn't have to be the madness. We are functional. It's wild but I think people really want to believe that. If you've followed me and my career, you don't want to believe it's bad. You want to say, 'How did you do that sh*t Ice? How did y'all do that sh*t? Me and my girl want to do that sh*t." (SOHH)
Coco recently told SOHH about her experience being surrounded by cameras for the project.
"Also, it shows all of the projects we're involved in and it's a good way to get it out to the public and into the open," Coco added. "Also, it shows that we're good people. Not these crazy people that some might think we are...With the cameras, there was a little learning curve. I won't lie. Once you start doing it, there's so many people poking into your life, you just have to be careful with what you do and what you say. And then you get used to it for a while. You don't even know they're in the room." (SOHH)
Last night's premiere featured Coco talking about her role as Ice-T's "old fashioned" wife.
Their new E! reality series Ice Loves Coco premiered Sunday, and we've got all the details for you. One thing we noticed was how domesticated Coco is, as the well-endowed 32-year-old pin-up called herself an "an old fashioned" wife, conflicting with her wild public image. Of course, in addition to the old fashioned stuff, we also got to see Coco prancing around in a bikini, showing off her super-sexy body while tanning and working out. (RadarOnline)
Throughout the season, the series will reportedly focus heavily on Coco's modeling career.
The series will follow the two and document their respective careers, focusing on their home life as well as Coco's attempts to launch a professional career as a model. While the pair has publicly displayed affection in the press over the past few years, they will invite cameras into their home to frame them as a "very traditional couple, wrapped in a very nontraditional package.
