Terror Squad leader Fat Joe looks ready to hit the beach shirtless these days as his latest music video "Drop A Body" shows the rapper significantly skinnier than his rap alias suggests.
While Joe has yet to address the weight loss, reports claim the new look is the result of health awareness.
Shout out to rapper Fat Joe. MediaTakeOut.com learned that Joey Cracks has been trying for some time to lose weight . . . for HEALTH REASONS. And lookie there . . . dude looks like a new man. (Media Take Out)
The weight loss has also been taken notice by Funkmaster Flex's InFlexWeTrust site which shared its reaction.
Wow, big congrats to Fat Joe for such an amazing weightloss! I don't even think we can call you Fat Joe anymore. Just...Joe. LOL. Hit the jump for the pics of his new look! (In Flex We Trust)
Last year, after his rap nemesis 50 Cent lost over 50 pounds for a movie role, Joey Crack admitted going lean was too much of a challenge for himself.
"Yeah, that's his thing. I'm not mad; he's trying to get money. I could never do that, though, I wish I could. Fat Joe loves food too much. I'm scheming on some Pinkberry right now. [laughs]" (VIBE)
Last winter, Southern rapper Paul Wall talked about having 100 pounds surgically removed from his body.
"Honestly, when we were in Afghanistan and [reps for VH1's] Celebrity Fit Club were contacting [me] about coming on the show, that was a h*ll of a wake-up call," Wall said in an interview. "[Being fat] isn't a secret. You can look in the mirror and try to hide it and cover it up, and it may work here or there, but there ain't no shirt or hat you can put on or haircut you can get to hide the fact that you're morbidly obese. That's what the doctor said: I was 'morbidly obese.' I decided not to do [the show] but it was still a wake-up call to have people calling you saying, 'Hey, you're really, really fat.'"
