Although Fabolous has worked amongst the likes of high-profile rap stars including Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, the Def Jam soldier now reveals what Top 5 artists he still hopes to collaborate with.
Not only thinking in the hip-hop genre, F-a-b-o said Black Eyed Peas' Fergie is an artist he would love to collaborate with one day.
"Nas, Eminem, Fergie," Fab said in an interview when asked what artists he hopes to work with. "I think Fergie's voice is really dope. Umm. A lot of people, man. Jadakiss. Rick Ross. So we got some people to look out for on this [Loso's Way 2] album coming. Yeah." (Hot 106)
Last year, Fabolous expressed his admiration toward rap mogul Nas.
"Nas, Nas, like Nas is so ill," Fab told interviewer Karen Civil. "I think this younger generation of hip-hop really don't know, like, I got a dude who rolls with me, he's like 21, 22, he don't know any of the ill Nas, he don't know Illmatic, you just don't know that Nas that I grew up with. I wish Nas would just let these young boys know he's that dude." (Karen Civil)
Fab is currently in the midst of putting together his upcoming Loso's Way 2 solo album.
"The album, we just started on that. I really just got a lot of beats on that, picking beats out or whatever. Then I lock in and attack the beats, like a monster in a cave. [Laughs] I drag the beats back to my cave. [Deadline?] Not really. I usually have deadlines but I don't. They tell you what time you need to do something, and it's like, 'Okay, I work toward that time, but if it's not ready, it's not ready.' But I'm definitely not the type that will just let something not come out. There's a couple [of] albums right now that people have been talking about for a year..." (XXL Mag)
In August 2009, Fab's Loso's Way debuted atop the sales chart.
Fabolous' highly-anticipated Loso's Way album landed on top of all releases this week securing No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, F-a-b-o's fifth solo project was able to scoop up 99,000 sold discs after seven days in stores making it the number one album in the country. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
