Celebrity married couple Coco and Ice-T have shared their input on butt implants and why they can cause more harm than good for a woman's image.
While open about having breast implants, video vixen Coco said women should consider the dangers of getting work done on their lower backs.
"I'm not against plastic surgery but me going through surgery, I know what it feels like. And I'm kind of against the fact that you should get butt implants because one thing that you're missing out here, is that when you have boobs, you're not sitting on you boobs 24-7, when you get butt implants, you're sitting on your butt for most of the day. You have to think about that. I'm so worried about how I move my boobs here and there. I have to wear a sports bra when I go to the gym. You can't jiggle all the time, you might jiggle them out of place. Think about that as far as the butt thing goes because they may jiggle out of place and you might not be able to fix it. I hear some really horror stories about the booty thing and I know I might sound hypocritical to do your boobs and not your butt. But, it's so unnatural. I mean you're not touching the chest area all that much, you're not walking all on the chest area all that much. You do a lot with the butt." (VIBE)
Ice firmly believes there is also a difference between breast and butt implants.
"And from a guy's perspective, you have to remember that anything that you do to yourself to make you look good, hopefully also feels good. I remember there was a point in time where guys were like okay girls have boob implants but you would touch them and it would be a strange thing. Now guys touch so many boob implants they're used to it. But now when you start, adding a** implants, butt implants..." (VIBE)
Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj recently discussed fans' infatuations with her booty.
"I don't mind the question, I don't mind the fascination. It's all good," she said. "I've said this before. It doesn't define me, so I try my best not to focus my energy on it. Like if you guys focus energy on it, I don't mind it. if people are sitting in a barbershop talking about my butt, it's conversational. That's what people are going to do. As long as they're talking about Nicki Minaj, it's good." ("Full Throttle")
Last year, Minaj denied speculation claiming she used butt pads.
Nicki Minaj doesn't have much time for her detractors, including those who recently set the Web ablaze with speculation about whether her assets had been enhanced with "butt pads." Did it bother her? "Absolutely not!" the Queens-bred rapper and Lil Wayne protégé says with a laugh. "People will pick anything to talk about, and that happens to be the thing at the moment. I love being a conversation piece." (New York Post)
