Grammy-winning rappers Dr. Dre and Eminem kept their word on releasing new Detox music by premiering a snippet of their "Die Hard" collaboration last night (May 6).

Dre kicks off the track and is quickly assisted by Eminem.

Dr. Dre fans can thank boxers Manny Pacquiao and "Sugar" Shane Mosley for the latest jump on sounds from the eternally-delayed Detox album. The latest single from Dre's own version of Chinese Democracy, entitled "Die Hard," features Eminem, and premiered on Friday's episode of "Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley" on Showtime. The 46-year-old rapper/producer's first announced the Detox LP eight years ago. We've heard the album's first two singles, "Kush" and "I Need a Doctor," and now "Die Hard" makes three. The track currently features a bunch of boxing commentary interspersed throughout, but we'll have the official version up shortly for your listening pleasure. (Crave Online)

Reports of the track set to premiere Friday night emerged online last weekend.

Detox may still not have a release date, but that's not stopping Dr. Dre from pumping out the singles. The hip-hop icon is prepping a second collaboration with Eminem for his long-delayed album. In a surprise announcement at the end of Showtime's "Fight Camp 360°: Pacquiao vs. Mosley," the narrator says that Dre will premiere his new Em-assisted single "Die Hard" during the show on Friday, May 6, at 10 p.m. This follows Dre's previous collaboration with Eminem "I Need a Doctor," which currently sits at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Last February, Em and Dre dropped their "I Need A Doctor" music video.

Full of images from Dre's early days with N.W.A., it metaphorically imagines the life, death and rebirth of the elder statesman of West Coast hip-hop. "I Need a Doctor" begins with Dre standing atop a cliff, staring out at an ocean Inception-style, before cutting to fleeting, impressionistic snapshots of his earliervideos, spanning from N.W.A. to his Death Row days up to the Aftermath era with his protégé Eminem. After Dre endures a horrific car crash and finds himself on life support, Eminem raps about how he'd never have made it without the Good Doctor's help and guidance. At one point, Dre even seems to appear in a bacta tank, the recuperative fluid-chamber Luke Skywalker takes a dive in The Empire Strikes Back. (Entertainment Weekly)

Following its release, Dre stressed the significance "I Need A Doctor" had on him.

"It almost felt like this song and this video was the rebirth of something," Dre said. "Maybe the rebirth of me, going to whatever the future holds for me...It's weird because that's how I started feeling last night during the making of this video, kind of feeling the rehabilitation and everything. It just really feels that way." (Extra)

As of now, there is no confirmed release date for Detox.
