[SOHH features a new entertainment personality each week to speak on who they feel is the most underrated artist. After Persia gave Joell Ortiz the title last week, producer Jerry Wonda crowns battle rapper Canibus SOHH Underrated.]
I really have to think about who is SOHH Underrated. That's a very good question because it makes me have to sit back and think. Let me see, who is out there. Hmm. Let me tell you, real talk, who I think is the most underrated. I would like to go back to name my man Canibus.
I want to go back to my man Canibus because he didn't get to where he was supposed to be. My man Canibus has to be SOHH Underrated. It was everything about him. When he came in to the studio, he just came in and rocked it like a tsunami. It was something crazy. It's sad because he was so good and then he suddenly he was gone. But, that's how it goes. That's how the music industry works. It's the type of industry that we're in.
When you think back to Canibus, he was really spitting at the time. Back then [in the late 1990's], he was spitting. That's just how I feel about what he did in the music. Canibus was a really good emcee and could just rock the music whenever it was time.
