[SOHH features a new entertainment personality each week to speak on who they feel is the most underrated artist. After M.O.P.'s Billy Danze gave Pharoahe Monch the title last week, Fred the Godson crowns Joe Budden SOHH Underrated.]

Joe Budden (SOHH Underrated)

God bless their success now since him and his group just signed to Eminem's Shady Records, but I've always been saying Joe Budden is a real underrated rapper. I've never really understood all of the politics of the game but Joe Budden is underrated. Even if you go back and listen to all of his mixtapes, all of those "Mood Muzik" tapes, those are all out of this world to me.

I've been a fan of him since he came out. You hear the lyrics [and] you hear how hard he goes. With me being a lyricist, I always took to Joe Budden and a lot of people in the hood really look to him as well. We would always go line-for-line with him and a lot of the other rappers that were out at the time and really up until now.

I have always said Joe Budden was one of the most underrated rappers and a lot of the Slaughterhouse members are underrated as well. When you look at them, they are really underrated as a whole. That's why they probably all felt the same way and formed their group up. They're lyrically crazy from Joe Budden to Royce Da 5'9 to Joell Ortiz to Crooked I. But if I had to name one person, it would have to be Joe Budden.

Fred the Godson is most known for his Bronx, New York roots and recently making waves on the underground circuit. He has made a name for himself alongside a string of deejay co-signs courtesy of DJ Enuff, Suss One, DJ Self and DJ Envy. While still focused on an upcoming debut album, Fred continues to shine, as seen on his recent XXL Magazine Freshmen cover.
