"Jersey Shore" reality star Snooki has fueled her beef with R&B singer Ne-Yo further just days after he blasted Rolling Stone magazine for giving the TV hottie her own cover shot.
Snooki said Ne-Yo's comments forced her to abandon her admiration for him.
It didn't take long for the pint-size party girl, 23, to fire back. "I was just really upset," she told UsMagazine.com at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas Sunday night. "I'm a big fan of Ne-Yo. Every song was on my iPod and I deleted them yesterday just because of his comments." She went on, "Why do you hate me? I'm the nicest person ever. I understand you are a little mad cause your career is not up right now and I'm on the cover but you know what--like I'm a nice person and I deserve it, so get over it." (Us Magazine)
Ne-Yo recently clarified his issues with the iconic magazine's current cover girl.
"I don't know her so I can't disrespect her, but I feel like Rolling Stone is a music magazine," he explained in an interview. "And for them to put her on the cover, it's like, 'Really?'" (E! News)
Prior to his clarification, Snooki spoke on Ne-Yo's initial jabs.
"Neyo's mad that I got the cover of rolling stone? Hm you lost a loyal fan. What a buzz kill.#sorry," she tweeted March 8th. (Snooki's Twitter)
Ne-Yo originally took to Twitter last week to speak on Snooki's cover shot.
"Wow. Snooki is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Really? I quit. (Just kidding, but almost serious....)," he tweeted March 7th.
"No disrespect to Snooki, I don't know her, but damn Rolling Stone? REALLY? REALLY! I guess....."
"I feel a rant coming on, but at the sake of sounding like I'm complaining or even hating, Imma chill. I got y'all. New album on the way."
"I WILL get the respect I deserve in this business or I won't be in this business. PERIOD. Have a #splendid day twit fam!!" (Ne-Yo's Twitter)
