[SOHH features a new entertainment personality each week to speak on who they feel is the most underrated artist. After Keri Hilson gave Andre 3000 the title earlier this week, Pharoahe Monch now crowns Slum Village's Elzhi SOHH Underrated.]

Elzhi (SOHH Underrated)

This is a hard question, trying to figure out who the most underrated rapper is in hip-hop. That's really tough, because there's a lot of emcees.

But in today's times, the most underrated rapper out right now I would have to say is Elzhi. Elzhi from Slum Village, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated rappers out. I don't know what it is exactly about him. It's hard to really explain it. I think people who hear him automatically are like, "God d*mn this motherf*cker is nice!" But it's the same thing with me, I just want more people to recognize how good he is. That's something important.

We haven't gotten a chance to link up recently but I'm a fan. We've toured together and we're actually supposed to be working together on an upcoming Marco Polo album, so we'll have to see what happens. [It's] going to be really interesting to see what we can do together.

Pharoahe Monch is a renowned hip-hop veteran with over 20 years of music to his name. Initially a member of Organized Konfusion, Monch later went on to launch his solo career with releases including Internal Affair, Desire and W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), which dropped yesterday
