Underrated: "I Feel His Name Should Be Equivalent To Jay-Z"

[SOHH features a new entertainment personality each week to speak on who they feel is the most underrated artist. After Pharoahe Monch gave Elzhi the title last week, Lady Luck now crowns Fabolous SOHH Underrated.]
Man, there's so many rappers that you could call SOHH Underrated. I saw XV in SOHH Underrated naming a couple. I'm not hearing Fabolous' name enough. I don't know if it's out there enough but I feel Fab's name should be equivalent to Jay-Z and the greats.
The reason I name Fab is because, look at how much he's said and how crazy it's been for the last 12 years. You know what I'm saying? Besides that, he's constantly killing the rap game with albums, mixtapes, and he's d*mn there mastered [the ability] to make songs for chicks and how to make songs for dudes. You know what I'm saying?
I don't feel like Fab gets the big, big credibility like he should. I understand he stays consistent, and to most that's enough just to [maintain a place] in the forefront for as long as he has. But it's been constantly and constantly. I've never heard a wack verse from Fab. I've heard some verses [from other artists] that weren't as hot as the other ones, but Fab? I've never ever, ever heard a wack verse from Fab. And that's hard.
And without trying to sound too cliche, regardless of what anybody feels about him as far as a man, Joe Budden is one of the prolific poets of our time. [He has] that ability to put his emotions out, if somebody took the time to really read that man's poems. I don't even call [them] raps. Lyrically Joe Budden is also out of this world.
New Jersey rapper Lady Luck is known for her vast rap battles on the hip-hop circuit. Luck signed a five-album record deal with Def Jam at the age of 17 on the strength of several freestyles that she did for New York radio station WQHT Hot 97. She later left Def Jam and is currently pursuing her solo career.
