Brooklyn rapper Lil Kim has finally addressed Foxy Brown's recently leaked "Christmas Massacre" track and downplayed her rap rival's disses.
While not admitting if she'd listened to the the track, Kim did playfully call out Foxy's past temporary hearing disability.
"[Laughs] I don't think she heard it," Kim jokingly said referring to Foxy's past publicized hearing disorder. "I don't even--I couldn't even--you know what, next question. [Laughs] That was the biggest joke of the industry ever. Hilarious, hilarious. I don't understand it." (Rap-Up)
Foxy's diss record leaked across the Internet around mid-January.
"First a b*tch wanna hate on Foxy/ Ten years later now she hating Minajie," Foxy raps over Jay-Z's "So Ghetto" beat. "And all that subliminal rap sh*t, I'll put you in a Chinchilla casket ... Bear witness to the rise and the fall of Miss Kimberly Jones." ("Christmas Massacre")
After a snippet of the track leaked the weekend before its actual release, Foxy resorted to Twitter to accuse Kim of leaking the record.
"Haaaaaaa!!!! LOL! at some faggot a** interns leaking my practice!!!! THE OFFICIAL "MASSACRE" IN 1 HOUR!!!!!!!!! Countdown baby........," she tweeted Saturday (January 8).
"THESE F*GGOTS MUST BE ON KIMBERLY PAYROLL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (Foxy Brown's Twitter)
Last May, Foxy opened about her 2005 bout with a hearing disorder.
"It was 100 percent gone, overnight," Foxy explained. "They don't even know why. I have the best surgeon in the world who specializes in ear problems and the operations and surgeries and Wednesday night [in 2005], I was out shooting the cover of XXL with Jay-Z, Kanye and LeBron, and Thursday morning I woke up and couldn't hear anything. I was completely deaf. 100 percent. I just knew that God had got me then. Because I kept running and dodging him and he kept giving me signs and little warnings, and they say God will get you first in private and if he don't get you then, then he'll get you in public."
