[SOHH features a new entertainment personality each week to speak on who they feel is the most underrated artist. After Chet Haze gave Saigon the title last week, Cali Swag District's Yung now crowns Ludacris SOHH Underrated.]
Who do I feel is the most underrated? I'd have to say it's Ludacris. I don't feel he gets as much shine as he's supposed to. I feel like people be sleeping on him because I've been listening to a lot of Ludacris music lately and he be saying some stuff from different mixtapes and different features that's crazy. Ludacris has got it. He's the most underrated.
I haven't been following Ludacris' career from the beginning. I recently started listening to him a lot when [Cali Swag District's] M-Bone and us would be doing interviews and they'd ask him who was one of his favorite artists. He would always name Ludacris and so I was like, "OK, he said Ludacris a lot so let me check him out."
So then I really started listening to him and was like, "Oh, OK, I get it." I would start listening to different verses he would put on mixtapes and albums or different features he would get on and then I'd have to agree and be like, "Yeah, Ludacris is underrated." You have to listen to the way he flips verses and how he does his thing on tracks he is on.
He kind of reminds me of Busta Rhymes. Busta Rhymes be doing the same thing. Their styles are totally different but both of them dudes are dope.
Yung is a member of four-man rap group Cali Swag District from Inglewood, California. The group is best known for the single "Teach Me How to Dougie. The group is signed with Capitol Records' Checkmate Entertainment imprint.
