R&B singer Chris Brown has upped his music catalogue by announcing new collaborations with Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne and more artists.
According to Brown, his new duet with Mars is a reincarnation of late music icons Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.
Chris Brown isn't just recording with Justin Bieber these days. The beleaguered R&B/pop star is also laying down tracks with Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, according to his Twitter feed. On Friday, Brown distanced himself from a controversial Twitter beef with B2K's Raz-B by posting a link to "Where Do We Go," a song featuring Pitbull and produced by Jim Jonsin, and promising the release of "Look at Me Now," featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, at midnight. Brown also tweeted that he was getting ready to hit the studio with Bruno Mars. "Me and Bruno Mars are doing an incredible record soon...(like 2011 Elvis and Michael," he wrote. "Gonna be a movie!!!!" (@chrisbrown) (Billboard)
Brown's upcoming fourth solo project, F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies).
"I'm putting out singles a lot right now, so everything's coming together. But I definitely am gonna to say this and plug it quick: The name of my album is Fame so make sure you check it out," Brown said when he recently played radio host on 102.3 The Beat in Austin, Texas. According to some reports, the title references a "Fame" tattoo a "Fame" tattoo the singer sports on his arm. The singer also urged fans to look out for the singles "Yeah 3X," a high-energy track infused with chirpy techno rhythms, and "Calypso" which hetweeted about in early September. "I'm trying to get everything together, figure out what I'm [going to] do with the album," he explained. (MTV)
As of late, Brown has been clocking in studio time with singer/songwriter Kevin McCall.
Brown has been hard at work in the studio, collaborating with singer-songwriter Kevin McCall, who penned his hit single "Deuces" as well as forthcoming album cuts "Rest of My Life" and the country-tinged "Another You." "I write and collab with Chris. Awesome writer. Vibe off his energy a lot. We got a lot of records to get out," McCall told Rap-Up TV, noting that he also penned a slow jam with Chris and Tank for Keri Hilson's sophomore project No Boys Allowed. (Rap-Up)
Yet to crack over 500,000 albums sold, Brown's previous album debuted in the Top 10 releases in December 2009.
R&B singer Chris Brown made his comeback this week as Graffiti debuted at No. 7, falling behind Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream which moved 582,000 records this week. According to Nielsen Soundscan, Breezy's third solo album has sold 101,900 copies after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
