Former Roc-A-Fella artist Beanie Sigel has publicly revealed his interest in releasing a new album on rapper Baby's Cash Money Records label.
In addition to Baby, the "Broad Street Bully" also voiced his interest in acting in movies alongside rapper/actor 50 Cent.
"Classic, the date, to be continued," Sigel said in an interview when asked about the name and release date of his upcoming untitled album. "Right now, I wouldn't mind f*cking around with [Cash Money Records co-founder] Baby. Majors? Nah, I'd rather go with an independent. Far as the labels out there, I wouldn't [mind] f*cking with Cash Money. I wouldn't mind f*cking with the Birdman. I wouldn't mind f*cking with 50 [Cent], doing some movies and sh*t. But definitely the Birdman. I f*cks with the Birdman. Shout-out to the Birdman and Lil Wayne. Cash Money." (804 Ent)
Last June, Def Jam VP of A&R Sha Money XL stated that Sigel was preparing a new LP.
"Redman's getting ready to deliver. Method Man's getting ready to get started. Beanie Sigel, I had a conversation with him," Sha revealed in an interview. "Hopefully he'll get back over here. He's here, but, just really getting in the mind frame like he's getting ready to put an album out, getting right because he's the sh*t." (XXL Mag)
Sigel's last solo effort dropped four years ago through Def Jam.
The album, The B. Coming, hit the shelves in March of 2005 while the movie, State Property 2, was released in April. Out of prison by the end of the year, Sigel went to work on his fourth album, The Solution; though there seemed to be fluctuations in Sigel's stance in the split between Jay-Z and Damon Dash, the rapper remained with Jay-Z, on Roc-a-Fella, and The Solution was issued in December 2007. Recently, Beans called out Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon "Dame" Dash for owing him money.
"I ain't loyal to Dame, Dame owes me some money," Beanie said in an interview with radio personality Star. "Yeah. Roughly about, my lawyer, my own lawyer found about $11 million that Damon stole from me. Yeah. It's gone. He filed bankruptcy. I spent a million dollars just to say a person owes me; I have on a piece of paper that say he owe me some money. Who wants to go through that? I haven't seen or talked to Dame in roughly, about five years. Almost six. [During my court appearances], that was a facade [his show of support.] That was smoke and mirrors. It wasn't about Beanie Sigel. That was the Jay-Z/Dame Dash breaking up... If you got Roc-A-Fella in the hole and you got Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, and then you got Memphis Bleek, State Property, if you couldn't have Jay-Z, who was the next person you'd have? So, yeah, I seen through that. You can't pimp me, you pimp a girl..." ("Star & Buc Wild")
