News: Jay-Z Names His Brother From Another Mother, "I See Him More Than My Own"

Rap mogul Jay-Z has shared his admiration for Coldplay singer Chris Martin and discusses how much of a close-knit relationship they have with each other.
According to Jay, he views the singer as one of his biological siblings.
''[Martin's] a brother from another mother," Jay said in an interview. "I see him more than my own brother. Actually, I do. [He's] one of the geniuses of our generation. Any time you can collaborate with that sort of genius, you jump at the chance, I don't care who you are." (BBC News)
Jay and Martin have collaborated a couple times over the past few years.
Jay-Z has revealed that he wants to collaborate with Chris Martin from Coldplay on his new album. Jay-Z has worked with Chris and Coldplay before, remixing their album "Viva La Vida" as well as Chris featuring on Jay-Z's 2006 track "Beach Chair." (M Is For Music)
Tonight, Jay will reportedly bank $1 million for a New Year's Eve performance.
Jay-Z will earn big bucks this New Year's Eve, by performing at a private party. Next Friday (December 31), the rapper willentertain 2,500 party-goers in Las Vegas, at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, for which he'll earn $1 million for his appearance. Jay will be joined by his wife Beyonce - although Knowles won't be singing at the glitzy event. (OMG Music)

The mega mogul Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, has signed up to perform at the the lavish launch party for the new Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino in Las Vegas kicking off on December 31. And according to reports, he is being paid a staggering $1 million for the occasion. Another superstar couple who will be at the event, which marks the official opening of the $4billion resort, is Gwyneth Paltrow and her rocker husband Chris Martin. Chris' band Coldplay are also on the line up at the no-expense spared extravaganza and are set to take home an equally impressing pay check. (Daily Mail)
